I have a complete inability to "visualize" tastes. I can't call them to mind or predict whether flavors will combine well.

mildly faceblind, plus bad sense of direction (from what i've heard the two are correlated). also cannot instinctively tell left from right

Do you tend to instantly identify people by the way they move and walk, or by voice? That is, easier to id in a video/live than on a pic?
