Not trying to be a wiseass, but I actively try to avoid having or navigating by taste. It's the reason I often butt heads with tasteniks
To the extent it's unavoidable, I'd say my taste is for aphorisms. I don't work there because only job is fortune cookie writing which sucks

Taste is always social, but not all social things are about taste. And language is partly social. It would be useful on a desert island.
