Slack would be great for BASB, altho you'd have to drop forum. But a move from curated to more ephemeral discussion could be interesting!

I'm trying to move in opposite direction: become friendlier to less tech-savvy ppl. Website forum is much more accessible than Slack

I don't think messaging will ever be right for large groups. Too much value in optimizing for 1-on-1 interaction
