It's not an attraction, it's a type of thinking that you don't choose, can't learn, and cannot help. You can only discipline it somewhat.

I've concluded over the years that there is a systems-thinking trait loosely in the sense of introversion or the other big 5 traits

That's my point. I've met too many people who cargo cult stock-flow diagrams and love quoting Senge, etc but lack the "symptoms"

They can do basic mediocre systems tool-labor, but all the best ones I know across a dozen flavors have had a characteristic personality
