I could imagine independent consulting revenue will vary +-20% year on year so not sure you can draw too many conclusions

I think even single-person revenue can be stabilized more strongly than that

hmm. Maybe. Depends what you're optimizing for I suppose. I imagine most reach "enough" then becomes v variable

if only looking to maximize $ then maybe you approach max and stabilize
Only way I was able to stabilize was via old fashioned sales funnel. "Is this what I have come to?" was the mantra

ha I've become more diligent about that recently too. Turns out being independent doesn't mean hobby! Still a business...
