You can roughly measure genius by looking at the (domain-relative) complexity of toolchain a person needs to have impact of a given scale

I needed WordPress, tip of iceberg of blog infrastructure, to achieve peak (for purpose of argument) impact with Gervais Principle at age 35

Ramanujan is good comp for me. He needed notebooks, a textbook and paper mail --1/100th complexity say -- to achieve (say) 10,000x by age 32

So by this notional math, and factoring in toolchain complexity, he would weigh in at at least million times more genius. I'd be 1 μR.

I dunno, I'd say the British empire is at least as complex as the Internet. The Internet is perhaps a net simplification.

Oddly enough comparison is direct. When applying to grad school ~1996 we were cusp gen who emailed faculty instead of p-mailing

We could email many more faculty members to land a scholarship. I'd like to know how many Ramanujan mailed before Hardy bit 😂
