I've concluded that the diff between praxis and poiesis is that that former is situated within an institutionalized doctrinal tradition

If you take out institutionalized, doctrinal context, praxis turns into absurdity. If you institutionalize poiesis, it turns into absurdity.

The idea that poiesis is 'making' while praxis is 'doing' is a red herring. There is always output. Intent+meaning of it are the concern.

Doing always has an output, but locus of meaning and intent assignment varies. In praxis that locus is outside you. In poiesis, within you.

Case in point: 'outsider' art. Extreme case: one agent's waste becomes another agent's production.
