Don't use cheap, passive HDMI to VGA converter. Use more expensive "active" one. (It connects to your HDMI and also to USB (for power))
My old 19" dell monitor keeps flickering on/off when I try to connect my MacBook Pro via hdmi to vga convertor. Any clue why and what to do?
