6-8% doesn't seem that insane for a nominal annual return in a very well diversified portfolio.The catch: inflation could be most of it

25 years? Given experience in Japan market I think 2-3% over that time is the most liberal estimate. Tech deflation is massive with AI

robo-advisors differ greatly. Betterment has it >8% for 35 year horizon. Wealthfront assumes 2%.
