I think that counts more as a national moral belief rather than national lie. Not really falsifiable.

I would argue that some moral systems are objectively, measurably more effective than others. Thus, falsifiable.

To be clear, moral system = set of rules of how we treat each other - separate from the law. Spiritual beliefs are a different thing.

Sorry for the typo. Meant that I can imagine multiple stable societies, but some much more pleasant than others for the majority.

Liberal democracy works because majority in control and has generally uniform moral system and respect for each other.

When you have mixing of disparate moral systems, conflict can arise. Tribalism and extremism can overwhelm democracy.
