I used to think they just wanted to bundle necessary tech-context plot points of stories in one cover-all character, but this is not true

Most non-techies literally have NO idea of how various tech specialities/skills/roles fit together to make complex things happen

Exactly. I'm a techie with multiple specialties, but I couldn't plan a wedding or run a farm #DivisionOfLabor

but you likely wouldn't assume that farmer could plan a wedding. there's unique black-boxiness to tech

Those were just examples. I meant each of those activities require layered/ differentiated knowledge.

Didn't mean one would do the other. Meant that EACH requires multiple specializations, just like tech aims.
