I can't think of any significant diff between idea of a safe space and idea of a sacred space like a religious building 🤔

safe could easily be anywhere clean and comfortable and is personal. Sacred requires a spiritual quality and is beyond the individual.

safe spaces seem to denounce traditional norms/history. Opposite for religious buildings.

Safe spaces typically re-appropriate public spaces, instead of creating new shared public spaces (with extra rules,) as churches do.

I think, done right, safe space is created for the creators and sacred space is created for participants.
