Surprisingly little of the economy. Walking around Mitte, you get the feeling 90% of the 20-somethings -- from the US! -- r in Berlin.

Hmm, that does surprise me. Usually metros of a country drive the GDP disproportionately. Maybe it's more cultural than econ?
