@vgr I have Richard Feynman's lectures in my coding playlist. Something about his voice works for me. XD

Found a vid by Feynman where he breaks down that assumption and describes the process of subvocalization thru language/music vs visual-spatial processing. It seems I don't think of code w/ language, but visual-spatially. Might be why I can multitask that.https://twitter.com/ultimape/status/982584312339009537 …

@vgr Depends on the podcast and the task. Tim Ferriss's gets my full attention. Most of my coding/writing work allows no spoken language.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@vgr Yes. Bike rides, doing dishes, etc. Maximize efficiency by adding them to activities that don’t require system 2 thinking.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@vgr I can't really write code while listening to stuff.. even if there is background noise, it is being mentally silenced lolThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@vgr Some shows have much more banter than others, but I may start filtering those out in favor of deep work or meditative states.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@vgr Has to be the-most-mundane-coding-task-ever for me to listen to a podcast. But those exist! Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
