Physics question: is it true that strong and weak interactions, like EM (and unlike gravity), can be repulsive as well as attractive?

Short answer: yes, but only over distances too short for it to mean anything.

thank you. It's only the conceptual possibility that interests me at the moment.

Apparently yes.
Strong: csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr162/lect/c en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_f
Weak: physics.stackexchange.com/a/77200

"Repulsive vs. Attractive" is wrong framing. Too classical. Best to think in terms of particle transformations allowed via. the force.

Strong certainly can be. The direction of the force can be determined by range, unlike EM. It maintains nuclear size in this way.
