Which would be the tighter constraint for you: having to be present in an office 9-5 or being expected to respond to emails within 15m 9-5?

Replying to
responding to emails within 15 is much worse, guarantees you can give only partial attention to any task for 8 hrs/day.

Replying to
emails easily. That frequency of interruptions would mean never getting anything substantial done again.

Replying to
office worse for me. Can respond quickly to emails in a flurry. While walking, etc. Physical space can be v confining.
Replying to
present in an office, if response requires sig cognitive load + isn't urgent, just push till later w a simple response
