No form of collectivism survives sufficient prosperity. Collectivism is almost entirely a consequence of scarcity.
@Grimeandreason Err...have you ever seen fort tribes conditions? Garden of Eden is a myth. Lots of scarcity (security, healthcare, energy)

@vgr could you not simply keep adding things required whatever the level of development and call it scarcity? -
@Grimeandreason There's a level of atomicity that you can't break down further socially (eg no-marriage, vat-babies leisure society)
