Physical infrastructure is as arbitrary+confusing as IT (eg. "101 vs 280" vs "uWSGI vs Gunicorn"), but 100x more intuitive. Thoughts on why?

physical doesn't feel more intuitive. Just seems a function of how much time you spend with it.

I do think the ability to visualize it with meaningfully literal maps/diagrams helps, compared to abstract block diagrams.

Try writing several production systems with uWSGI and decide then which feels more intuitive. :-) I get lost driving all the time!

We should make a huge strawman map of infrastructure pieces and do a hangout to refactor+steelman how to think about it best

Maybe a lifetime state. Physical infrastructure has already passed through abstract stage. Less intutive until built.
