Q: what's the threshold where it's worth switching from CGI scripts (w/flat files or simple db schema) to Rails/Django type MVC frameworks?

@vgr yeah especially when you're playing around it's counterproductive to be fancy. Use a framework if you productize. -

@vgr if you're comfortable with js, node.js is a small step up to add simple backend logic. -
