Q for women: how would Campbell's monomyth/hero's journey be different if it were the heroine's journey? Opinions or citations on this?

i suppose i conflate "value" with desirability. it's not explicitly sexual but it underlies a lot of sexual norms.

I'd say male version at least is about will to power, "I will prevail as subject-agent." Fight is to transcend yourself.

sure, i can accept "proving value to yourself." i think the "transcending yourself" is at the heart of the female one too.
