You know what really worries me? This is a microcosm of the world at large since Covid 50% randomly fired, everything starting to glitch. First gracefully, then gracelessly, then catastrophically. And we go from concern to panic to apathy.

Take elections. 2016 was gracefully concerning, 2020 had moments of graceless panic, 2022 is apparently very important but I can’t be bothered to even follow it. Aka apathetic catastrophe?

Given the base rate of flakiness in consumer tech, it seems dodgy to extrapolate from a couple of glitches to progressive collapse of the system. Especially since the layoffs just reverted to 2018 headcount, and the product hasn't changed that much since then.

Can you formulate this bet into something well structured enough to bet on. I have talked about this in a few places and would love to bet in favor of, "Twitter will basically blunder forward with no catastrophic outcomes for end users caused by platform failure"
