There was a twitter bot a decade ago that would replace every use of the word “content” with “sausage” Can’t find it any more. But that marks the start of content turning into an industrial intermediate rather than a consumer end product.

I recall thinking at the time that I quite liked the idea of being a b2b industrial feedstock supplier for other people. Most people seemed to find the idea dehumanizing then, but now it’s a pervasive thing. People create with sampling, out-of-context excerpting and reuse in mind

I think this method of content creation is in it's infancy. "Arcane" was a good exploration of utilitarianism of the whole for the part, but made no sacrifices in quality to maximize broad appeal of its best moments. Looking forward to continued innovation in the space
