Hmm this is inflation. Belongs with floods and fires I guess? twitter.com/lukebutler/sta

Hope is JWST. The one unambiguously good new thing we’ve done in the last few years.

These things take a keystone thing to come together. For me it was zero-knowledge proofs and looming appearance of quantum computing. The map naturally organizes itself around that.
Feels like I’m missing biology somehow. mRNA next to covid? BCI between AI and robots?

Oh heh manufactured normalcy bubble of Karenland can also represent inflation. Can be a distorted bubble. Costs more and more to keep normalcy going.

Another difference from 2016 map is there are no landscape-shaping individuals. Permaweird is too hyper complex for individuals to loom large, Big Men or small. The era of Big Men is done. Only name that appears is Xi but he’s only pwned China, not reshaped it

2016 map had Trump, Bernie, Hillary looming large. The map org was the Thiel 2x2. Bezos, Musk, Thiel had named presences.
2022 map… that sort of thing feels wrong
Might put a harambe motif somewhere though

Open for comments and additions for a week before I get it into production

Oh 2x2 logic is clear:
X: pre-post Weirding,
Y: AI vs crypto ~= commie vs libertarian
Thiel gets a bit of structural credit here too. Half an axis. In 2016 I used his determinate/indeterminate optimist/pessimist 2x2 fully

Yeah. Still takes big centralized orgs to train the models. As in real communism, common people get screwed.
