UK situation makes me wonder: what’s worse, the bad emperor problem of monarchies or the bad legislature problem of democracies 🤔
I suspect about equally bad but I prefer the latter because if the people get a bad legislature they probably truly deserve it

Counterpoint: A bad legislature is worse, because violent peasant revolts are part and parcel of having a monarchy.
Get a bad legislature, and no matter what it does the only legitimate response is
"come on guys, we need to VOTE!"

You may be right about deserving a bad elected legislature, but spare a thought for Scotland, which hasn’t voted Conservative for about 50 years.
