There’s been other smaller stuff, but throughout the year I’ve found myself going “Whyyyy? What possible upside do you see here? And it’s acboring and painful shitshow to boot that can’t even be entertaining”

Theory. The future has gotten so overdetermined in the last few years, with so many forced moves, high agency addicts got frustrated and flailed in an attempt to feel any sort of alive. Agency is a kind of addiction that makes waiting for meaningful options seem like hell

Sometimes it makes sense to do stuff just to shake things up. But sometimes it’s just futile frustration blowing itself out.
