Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything longer than the Monkey Island stage musical that we cancelled due to covid in march '20, started rehearsals back up again in november '21 and performed in spring '22. So like 1,5 years.

I have a complete sci-fi novel that I've worked on for about twenty years and finished my first good full draft during COVID. It's about three siblings with vastly different visions for exploration and colonization of the solar system and baby steps toward interstellar travel.

Student film with mediocre post-production in 2004. Redigitized the footage in 2012 and completely re-edited with much improved ~everything~ (sound, color, vfx) thanks to far better technology and several years of experience. Finishing it relieved years of psychic weight.

Long term refactoring project at Udemy to separate consumer and business user accounts/identities. Started idea in 2015. Shelved and considered and few times over the years then executed in 2021-22 and completed it across months.

I was working on a to-do list app. Created the first iteration in 2020, which was just a react frontend. Then expanded on it in 2021 by adding a backend, ability to create accounts etc. and finally published it. For me, picking up projects from a long time ago is never a problem.
