Feels like ads are as much in rerun and reboot hell as tv shows and movies. Progressive Flo and geico gekko are still logging the hours.
Only new ad I can recall from last year or two is Progressive “don’t turn into your parents” ads

Umm … mRNA vaccines. It was kind of coercive and guerrilla … but you gotta admit they got themselves a gigantic market.

That wasn’t marketing. That was the innovation selling itself. Covid was the ad. I can’t recall seeing any actual marketing for the vaccines

While probably not exactly what you're looking for... Burger King was very innovative in their space for a few years - the Moldy Whopper, Traffic Jam Whopper, and of course the Whopper Detour.
No movie tie-ins, no new products, no rapper collabs.
