Hominids have magnetic senses, seems most things do. Starlings flock, bait fish ball up, hominids manage organized chaotic motion we call traffic.

When I was on Vietnam, I was told “if you want to cross the road, close your eyes and go.” Remarkably safe given the volume of motor bikes. Kind of beautiful to watch from a distance, terrifying the first step you take.

It's akin to a fluid (non-newtonian?). Viscosity changes locally when say someone decides to turn without indicating or cross the road for no reason
