I don’t think so. It’s a mass medium. There is no literary tv. Movies have highbrow shit, not tv
But there is high-brow TV. Prestige TV on cable would be 'literary TV'. Compared to all the mid stuff on Network TV. Short stories are to movies, as novels are to TV?
Maybe movies used to be mostly highbrow and TV mid, but we now have the inverse of both.
No literary tv?! Television series are the new long form entertainment. What kind of book can fit in a 90 minute movie? Literature inspires the best tv fiction or works both ways. Michael Crichton is a prime example. He could do it all
