Actually I’m mostly puzzled by people who are mad all the time on twitter. It’s not actually sustainable irl. You’d die of apoplexy. I assume they take breaks between online rage sessions. But online it’s just relentless bile

Anger is a strongly disconnecting emotion IRL and if displayed too frequently in public will lead to ostracism from your community. But making enemies is not a problem online since there are endless supply of new enemies and an endless supply of new identities you can assume.

I think the perma-raging are a sign of desperate approval-seeking, people who get seduced by clout/engagement and confuse it for validation. At least (some) comedians can get compensated for their need for validation, it’s rare a rager can eat out on their compulsion.
