I had no idea trees even had this much pollen. If you’d asked me to guess I’d have guessed like a few tablespoons

One little known fact: city trees are often all male b/c the female ones often smell bad and produce fruit that rots and attracts pests. However, female trees vastly reduce air pollen (via pollenators). Some think that doing this leads to pollen saturation and more allergies.

I sometimes wonder if there are big, invisible messed up consequences of human sex selection forces on domesticated species in human environments… pets neutered and spayed, farm animals and plants existing in gross gender imbalance, etc

Legibility strikes again. Authoritarian high-modernist sexual landscaping. This probably also accounts for binary gender landscaping of ourselves that is now being reversed, upsetting social orders. Imagine if we suddenly banned neutering and spaying. We’d be overrun by strays.

Well our food is more fatty and sweet from our agricultural development. Coffee, stims, and other drugs definitely got stronger too, but I can't think of other major ag stuff.
