Best chair to sit in for hours?
I tend to prefer:
+ wooden hard back and bottom, not really soft and cushy things
+ Shaped bottom
I actually quite like certain Starbucks chairs like this, but they don't seem to be sold to consumer

Unfortunately, comfort-in-store-for-five-mins seems almost unrelated to comfort-over-several-hours

I’ve got way too much to say about this for twitter (& I’m sure other people have said it better) but chairs fundamentally don’t work (although yes hard wood is better).
A kneeling bench takes getting used to (weeks for me) but it’s fundamentally better: aromeditation.org/journey-into-v

We didn't evolve to be still staring at a screen for hours, and there's actually no good way to do it. Circulating between several not-very-good approaches helps.
I also use a treadmill desk, which I find good for some sorts of work and not others. Burns calories too.

I’ve developed more of an issue with the screen than the chair… fixed depth of field = eyestrain, which also applies to paper
I think we evolved to look at a >6” depth of field close up, like chopping veggies
