I recommended to a client that they should try to hire a "live player" personality type for a senior role... do you have thoughts on good pointed interview questions to probe for that? Or work history heat signatures of live-player tendencies?

A key feature of live players is able to jump domains or even professions. Successfully!
Another is beating expectations, wjerre they did something utterly unprestigious, but it worked out.

Another is independent at times almost crackpot theories and heuristics, but paired with at least OK social skills.
Another is they make the MBA uncomfortable, but don't lose out to MBAs in office fights.
They can speak fluently in at last two very distinct subculture dialects.
