If you take space exploration and anything to do with preventing or lowering suffering (eg stopping climate change or curing cancer or eliminating hunger) off the table, what’s at the top of your list as a worthwhile civilizational ambition?

Since gundams are too impractical, I think we’ll end up defaulting to this least worst practical answer that satisfies the criteria. Let us go forth, fellow humans, and b2b SaaSify everything. Vidy has shown us the way out of the meaning crisis.

Fwiw I think bubble-cities in hostile climates are a lot more practical than they sound. Haven’t been done yet but the profit incentive is coming w climate change, wildfire smoke, etc. Active (need power to stay up) structures in general have awesome potential but need derisking
