Hmm. The implementation is absolutely clunky and needs more work for sure.
However, it at least imagines a way forward past all encompassing ad targeting and current surveillance as a service digital panopticon we all live in. Creates a layer of seperation that didn't exist.

Truth, but UX is neither the purpose nor impetus for the legislation. Not related, see the ADA in the U.S. Imposing regulatory cost & capture for, what is essentially, infringing upon a human right, is not novel. Doing it exclusively within the digital domain is.
