An unusually high fraction of teslas I see are white. Next most popular colors seem to be dark blue and black. Red used to be more common than it is now 🤔

Gray cars are a form of societal homogenization. They're just generic and inoffensive enough to overcome objections of most consumers to keep inventories moving. Not very different from early mass-industrialization when everyone bought identical Ford model T's.
