I’m increasingly impressed by the sheer surreally unironic continued existence of LinkedIn
It’ll outlast all the other crap, including twitter

No place online makes me feel as left out as LinkedIn. I *choose* not to be active on Instagram or tiktok, but on LinkedIn I’m not worthy of active presence. All I can do is post my writing links there, like an outdoor cat leaving dead mice at doorstep.

If I had a real job, I’d totally be active on LinkedIn

Limbo never hit LinkedIn. It just linear extrapolated from 2015 on.

Still feels like the world is in limbo

I’d post about all the #amazing people I’m #blessed to work with, all the #incredible work at #industrycon2022 by #brilliant people, lists of 10 things, interview tips… it’s a whole world of potential

Y’all think I’m mocking. I’m not. A year ago this would have been a mockery thread. Now it’s genuine awe. You can all hang around here feeling superior about your damn Discourse, but deep down you know the LinkedIn people are simply better than us.

It’s like that movie Elysium where earth is a shitty hellhole and all the cool stock photo people live in orbit in a premium mediocre space station. LinkedIn is Elysium. Twitter is earth. For Matt Damon type lowlifes.

here's my meek attempt at "freaking out squares" circa 2022: linkedin.com/posts/noah-lid
