Weird there’s no proper measure of how lucky someone is, relative to expectations based on birth circumstances (genes, family situation, etc). I think I’m about +1 sigma luckier relative to mean of my birth bell curve

Luck is an actual attribute that can be measured in a lab. Theory is that it’s driven by the size of your default “attention spotlight”

It all depends on carefully shaping the curvature of the gestating child's birth bell. It is not enough for the tone to ring merely clear and sweet.

I think I'm 2-3 sigma luckier, and I really say 2 to be sorta fake humble about it

i definitely feel like i have a lot of luck. 3-sigma? dunno
1. a lot of it is narrative/attention based. focus on the good no matter how trivial, reframe the bad
2. be open. say yes to new people, to new things, etc. most are normal, a few will be life changing

hm
i'd say in my case it overall averages out, +1 sigma in some things, -1 sigma in other
unless you mean globally, then my household's probably like top 4% yearly income PPP so that probably pushes me towards the luckier side

Very often it depends on which social groups a person is plugged into, whether they can plug themselves into new networks or not, and whether they know how to make use of those networks, or get lucky and don't have to do much at all once plugged in.

my luck is a function of how laid back I am. in full himbo mode I always roll saves, 100% of the time
it's gauche to talk about but I mean like I would be broke and the day before rent was due I would get mailed a check, completely improbable stuff
