That coal, by the way, is from the Firth of Clyde, Western Scotland - spilled off the back of ships up to a century ago during Scotland's coal-mining heyday (43 million tons in 1913).
Now there's a small mountain down there, flung onto the beach during stormy weather.

I think so! The stuff regularly being mined & shipped a century ago in these parts was of that quality, & my landlord (who I'm collecting it for) speaks in awe of how hot it burns in his little stove in winter.
yeah I believe it burns blue... only 1% of the world's coal is anthracite. We had an anthracite ash tray at home growing up and I remember being super impressed by the material
