Though I don’t see anything actually immoral here. You make a mistake, the efficient market sucks up benefit before you can fix it. Different from actual malicious exploits.

The community seems to make a distinction around benevolent versus malevolent MEV and it’s a complex debate. Certain MEV are truly harmful, and MEV as a whole clogs up the chain and could consume it if not mitigated

Another problem is that if block proposers can suck up all of the MEV, That means there are returns to scale in mining, which becomes a centralizing force. You could theoretically end up with one gigantic validator pool who has eaten all the MEV and used it to hire the best PHDs
