Kinda interesting that "care" is an ambivalent word. To have a care (noun) is to have burdens and the opposite is being "carefree" Otoh, being able to "care" (verb) is central to feeling life has meaning. To be depressed is to not be able to care about anything.

Every so often, I discover I've landed independently on a non-trivial thought Heidegger landed on... but I can't bring myself to read Heidegger in original because too much work and it's literally easier to rediscover. "Being is caring"
