Some midnight milk and cereal and laying on living room couch for a while used to fix it for me back when I had bad insomnia… oddly enough in Austin 22y ago. Also my trick for racing thoughts back then was to give them enough rope to gang themselves. Fixed it for good ~2001

Think of it as the opposite of meditation. Just let the thoughts run amok and don’t try to stop them. Like letting children or kittens run around till they run out of energy.
