LinkedIn is like an amusement park for resumes. If resumes were alive, they'd go to LinkedIn for vacations to meet and hang out with other resumes. There's a fun speculative fiction premise buried there. The opposite of "familiars" in witch-lore or "daemons" in Dark Materials.

It's not even "I'll replace you with a very small shell script" joke -- the bot-you joke gestures at a small and unimpressive id, but recognizes the humanity. The resume-you is like a Gesellschaft zombie of sorts. The idea of an empty suit gets at it.

Hmm. Imagine if all people suddenly died, but due to a last minute AI thing, a sort of "resume upload" uplift event happened, turning al LinkedIn profiles into automatons. How would they talk?
