It's not even "I'll replace you with a very small shell script" joke -- the bot-you joke gestures at a small and unimpressive id, but recognizes the humanity. The resume-you is like a Gesellschaft zombie of sorts. The idea of an empty suit gets at it.

Hmm. Imagine if all people suddenly died, but due to a last minute AI thing, a sort of "resume upload" uplift event happened, turning al LinkedIn profiles into automatons. How would they talk?

Like, we already know what twitter bots trained on tweets talk like. it's like a drunk and slightly lobotomized version of the real you. But with LinkedIn? Unclear...
