Why on earth has the updated iOS safari moved the URL bar to the bottom?

I get the logic of closer to thumb etc. Except the rest of the entire web experience is organized top-down. Case of trying too hard. Like Dvorak keyboard and other non-QWERTY keyboards.

Fine I’ll try to get used to it but you guys better not make any more changes this year. I only change 1 behavior per year now.

I really liked the change and felt natural from day one. Especially with gestures —swipe the bar up to see tabs, left-right to move around— makes it more useful than the old way.

I’m getting used to it, prob more convenient on larger iPhones or people with smaller hands.

so intuitive yet impossible to intuit. i have the same issue with the inverted scroll and it reminded me of the backwards brain cycle… i’m just not good at this
