adding "elon derangement syndrome" to my running list of derangement syndromes

This one goes up to Biden... nominal reason he refuses to acknowledge Tesla in EV revolution is it being non-union, but that seems a disproportionate response. It's like ignoring Sputnik in the history of space exploration because it was a Russian accomplishment.

Second-order reason is appeasement of DSA types, but then he's been willing to resist them elsewhere...
Only answer: Biden has EDS.

Based on my theory that at the heart of every derangement syndrome is something that attracts you, I think he particularly threatens politically conscious people because he is not just a business icon, he is a *political* one

If something is capable of driving you to a derangement syndrome, almost certainly there's an element to it that strongly attracts you. It's a good idea to identify that element and reflect on your relationship to it.

Reminded of Kevin Spacey line in House of Cards, "he chose money over power, in this town a mistake nearly everybody makes."
Career politicians can feel superior to career business leaders because they think they chose power over money... except people like Elon have both 😵💫

The only other single person capable of sparking a derangement syndrome on my list is Trump (AOC was almost getting there but then blew it). Elon is very like Trump in a few ways (fortunately none that I care about). But the big one is not sticking to others' idea of "his lane"

The haters actually judge him as a deity. If they considered him human, they would obviously find him impressive
