Almost exactly 2 years in, my pandemic at least is over, according to my Zoom position 🤣
I'll probably hold on to this as a pure memorabilia stock and ride it out. I do think the secular shifts involved make me actually long $ZM, but I'm not sure it will ever go >$400 again

I remember thinking at the time that whether the pandemic was long or short, the WFH shift would in fact be a secular shift, as well as creator economy stuff, so it was never a short-term trade for me.

The antithesis is that video is a commodity feature, with no real differentiation possible, like storage (see: Dropbox) or messaging, so there is no thesis for a stand-alone consumer company. And the main UX features like latency/buffering are not quite in the product's control.

But otoh, video is a very rich meta medium, so feels like there's organic room to do more than the commodity level UX, in a way that doesn't feel clumsily bolted on. Unlike most add-ons to things like dropbox.

Also, for whatever reason, though I go to meetings on other video apps... Meet, Chime, even Webex and Skype on occasion, Zoom still seems to have the best overall experience for my needs at least
