I don’t often do no-agenda catch-up video chats with people but every time I do, I get a sense of just how much of what I’m thinking I don’t say either in public or even screenshottable private text media. Only the top 10% of the shitpost iceberg is visible 9n text anywhere

Nothing paranoid about it, and I don’t feel muzzled or anything. I’ve always been this way. I have no urge to share the 90%. Makes me wonder if people who feel muzzled by speech norms simply have unrealistic expectations. Maybe it’s an extrovert think=say expectation.

That's probably for the best? The people I like best are those I can be honest with. If they hurt me, I'm more likely to forgive them. All other conversation is some level of polite conversation. The current configuration of the world is not equipped for too much honesty.

This is amazing, because the 10% you do share is a lot more content, and more varied, than most people. Would watch free association videos where you just say things going through your head for an hour. Maybe do weekly. Like those alphabet-talks with Lisa, but no agenda.
