Asimov imagined robotics without computers,
Both imagined the internet as a sort of library+teaching machines that caused no social disruption.

I think it was Postman who said "technological change is neither additive or subtractive, it is ecological." Old Visionaries had less of a "tech ecological" awareness, and more of library/academy/expansion of knowledge+capacity framing.
