it's been a week since reversed a few thousand dollar payment out of my bank account with no trace. every customer service agent is refusing to help me because they also perma banned my account the same day (with no explanation)

i'd be less upset if they had a *record* of the reversal on my file, but nothing. they don't even seem to *know* they took the money. jfc

this is for , which does in fact teach *content* about cryptocurrencies but that seems like a distinction that's far too nuanced for anyone employed in policing those decisions to understand

Wait what
They reversed as in you tried to put money in and they took it but then put it back and banned you?
So no loss?

someone paid me for a class i'm teaching with a credit card. i withdrew the money to my bank account (out of paypal). a few days later, paypal reversed the deposit, swiping the money back. except that reversal doesn't show up anywhere in their system. it's gone.

in my experience, any 'modern' fintech company will close your account and refuse your business if you write the word "bitcoin" anywhere on your application, regardless of what your actual relationship to "bitcoin" is

we originally had an LLC name with "bitcoin" in the title, but had to change it after three different banks refused to allow us to open an account

I didn't put it anywhere on my business description, but they asked for more info about the sales I had made through them, so I sent in information that had the word 'bitcoin' on it. game over, account banned

this payment reversal doesn't seem related but i honestly have no idea. there's no info on it anywhere in their system.

I've signed up for an account with them for future payments, but i doubt they're gonna pay me back the money PayPal has disappeared 🥲
